Aurora wins Maine technology Best of Web Award
Source: http://news.auroraphotos.comFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Portland, ME – July 1, 2010: TechMaine: The Technology Association of Maine announced the winners for its seventh awards ceremony for Maine’s technology community, and Aurora Photos’ website, www.auroraphotos.com, was awarded the Best of The Web, Corporate Identity award.
The award honors that company whose website best presents a corporate image that is uniquely theirs. It is a memorable site that shows that the company understands the importance of a good brand.
“First and foremost we need to thank our photographers and editors. Aurora’s brand has always been about great photography, and it is that quality that shines through on our website,” says Karl Schatz, Aurora Photos’ Director. “In addition to great photography, Aurora has always tried to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to technology. It began with the vision of Aurora founder and President Jose Azel, who believed 17 years ago that a photo agency like Aurora could exist and excel in the state of Maine, away from the New York City’s publishing center. It is on the backbone of technology that Aurora has grown into an international agency and continued to compete and thrive in a difficult market against much bigger competitors.”
“Put to rest any concerns about Maine’s creative and technical talent. AuroraPhotos.com proves that Maine’s technology community can compete with the big guys and win,” says Joe Kumiszcza, executive director for TechMaine.
“We live and breathe in our technology community every day, but it’s important to gather once a year to honor our leaders and visionaries,” says Kumiszcza. “We had more nominations this year than we had in the past two years combined. Our judges were impressed with the high caliber of the entries submitted, and said it was a challenge to select only one winner in each category.”
